Greetings Bier Meisters,

APRIL 15 MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
Please join us on Friday, April 15 at the VFW Post 7397 in Lenexa to enjoy a special presentation “Many Brains Make Great Beer” hosted by Dann Sarcy and Joe Rose. No, we won’t really be making beer out of brains (although somebody probably has), but we are going to pick everybody’s mind on common methods and techniques such as ‘Cold-Crashing’, ‘First Wort Hopping’ and a dozen other subjects. Within our group is a library of brewing knowledge that if unleashed could make us all better brewers. With a spin of the wheel and a draw from the hat, this will be a fun, fast-paced and educational game with a few rules so that everyone comes out a winner (and likely a better brewer).

Homebrew Evaluations:
If you have homebrew that you would like to have evaluated on a 1-on-1 basis by a BJCP judge at the meeting, please bring an extra bottle or two to the meeting and ask Eric Martin or Jamye Buelke Naramore to pair you up with a BJCP judge to begin the evaluation process.

If you have homebrew that you would like evaluated by the group at the meeting, please bring an extra growler (or at least 4 bottles) and track down Eric Martin or Jamye Buelke Naramore to work out the details. We typically do this anonymously at first, and then the brewer will have the option to unveil or stay anonymous near the end of the process.

Upcoming Club Election:
Final nominations for the 2022-2023 KCBM Board will be taken at our April 15 meeting. The term for the 2022-2023 Board is June 2022 through May 2023. If you or someone you know is interested in running for a Board position, please connect with Jay Highfill before or at the meeting to make the nomination. Club Election will be held at the May 20 club meeting.

We are also in the process of re-evaluating the venue for our future monthly meetings. Current options are the VFW Post 7397 in Lenexa and Christ the King Catholic Church in KCMO. Similar to the Board Elections, we will take a final vote of paid members to decide the preferred venue for the June 2022 to May 2023 term as part of the May election.
