SUMMARY:January 2021 Meeting: BKS Artisan Ales and Alma Mader Brewing
DESCRIPTION:We are super excited to kick off 2021 with Brian Rooney (BKS Artisan Ales) and Nick Mader (Alma Mader Brewing) leading a discussion during our Zoom Meeting on Friday\, January 15\, 2021. The discussion will be divided into two parts. For the first part\, Nick and Brian will discuss their paths to owning/operating a brewery and the challenges involved in getting through startup and into sustainable operation. This discussion will be particularly interesting since Nick and Brian come from different brewing backgrounds (professional vs homebrewer). After that\, we will have an informal Q&A session so get your questions about brewing IPA\, stout\, lager\, sours etc. ready for Brian and Nick!! \nThe schedule for the evening will be as follows: \n6:30 – Social Time\n7:00 – Club Business\n7:30 – DIY Corner: Yeast Bank with Eric Martin\n7:45 – Break\n8:00 – BKS/Alma Mader Presentation (with Q&A to follow) \nAs noted above\, we will have a Q&A session with Nick and Brian.
