DESCRIPTION:NOVEMBER MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT \nPlease join us on Friday\, November 18 at the VFW Post 7397 in Lenexa for Stout: Style Overview & Post-Fermentation Experimentation with KCBM’s own Aaron Arias. \nAaron will provide an overview of the different styles of stout. He will also share a recipe for Milk Stout\, and will provide guidance on post-fermentation adjuncts/additives. In addition\, Aaron will pass around different stouts to sample. Stouts are the perfect beers for warming up on brisk November evenings!\n_____________________________________ \nFull Meeting Schedule (Friday\, November 18): \n\n6:30-7:00 Social Time\n7:00-7:45 Club Business\n7:45-8:00 Social Time\n8:00-9:00 Main Presentation – Stouts with Aaron Arias\n9:00-10:00 Social Time / Homebrew Evaluations\n\n_____________________________________ \nKCBM Holiday Party: \nMark your calendars for the annual KCBM Holiday Party on Friday\, December 16 @ 6:30. The party will be at the VFW and – as traditional – will include a bottle share and the friendship brew competition. More details soon. \n_____________________________________ \nHomebrew Evaluations:\nIf you have homebrew that you would like to have evaluated on a 1-on-1 basis by a BJCP judge at the meeting\, please bring an extra bottle or two to the meeting and ask Joe Rose to pair you up with a BJCP judge to begin the evaluation process. \nIf you have homebrew that you would like evaluated by the group at the meeting\, please bring an extra growler (or at least 4 bottles) and track down Joe Rose to work out the details. We typically do this anonymously at first\, and then the brewer will have the option to unveil or stay anonymous near the end of the process. \n_____________________________________ \nHope you’ll come out for the November meeting! Please bring a six-pack or growler of your homebrewed (or commercial) beer/mead/cider to share!
